Convex and
Concave Awnings utilize rounded shapes to enhance the
architecture of commercial and residential structures.
CONVEX
CONCAVE
The bow of a convex/concave awning can be
bent into any radius which allows custom frames to fit the specification of
an existing building or structure.
This concave awning was designed with
cabana curtains to enhance the outside patio for Miss Trish of Capri, a
Beverly Hills shoe designer.
Awnings make great signs
too! Sullivan's Paint & Flooring took full advantage of its difficult
architecture and came up with a masterpiece. Sullivan's convex awning is
7' high x 6' projection x 15' wide. It includes a galvanized
steel frame, fitted acrylic cover and Eide's Sunbrella® Graphics System
Signage.
Eide can
manufacture customized back-lit and graphics options on all fabric awnings.
This
translucent cover with graphics is illuminated with internal lights, mounted
to an aluminum frame and underside ceiling system. The awning spans 5’
high x 3’ projection x 40' wide .
Integrating various
awning shapes can be an effective way of defining a building's entrance.
In this case, the use of two convex awnings and an entrance canopy did the
job. This awning combination is comprised of approximately 60-feet of
aluminum frame tubing, covered by a woven acrylic fabric with applied ink
graphics.
